Alex tries to find the right balance between providing the most up to date evidence-based therapeutic techniques whilst also providing genuine care and compassion in a warm, safe, and relaxed therapeutic environment.
Alex is trained in a variety of treatment approaches and tailors these to clients’ specific needs and preferences. His primary treatment approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). He is also trained in Schema Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Alex has a specific interest in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Alex also has a specific interest in the treatment of anxiety disorders, in particular Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

Alex is registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and holds an area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology.
Alex completed his studies at the University of Queensland. He was awarded Dean’s Commendations for High Achievement in each semester of his studies and is on the Dean’s Honour Roll.
